Woodlawn Manor
Woodlawn is a charming Georgian-style manor located in rustic Montgomery County, Maryland. The historic Manor House boasts a history stretching back to 1800, and the expansive grounds with various other picturesque buildings from the same time period make for a beautiful setting. This spectacular venue is a classy backdrop that fits in well with just about any wedding theme or style, whether country chic, totally traditional or vintage glam.
The Woodlawn Manor Wedding
This fun and beautiful wedding started out with a little rain, but the bride and groom never lost their shine! The rain-kissed greenery (along with a few friendly horses) made for great photo ops before the ceremony, and the wedding party was more than happy to play along. The event was filled with flowers, twinkling lights and the exuberant well-wishes of friends and family, but a little something else set this wedding apart. During the reception, the bride and groom snuck off, only to return dressed in traditional regalia, to perform what’s referred to as a “money dance,” where dancing and gifts combine into an unforgettable wedding tradition.

Sara and Onye’s love and romance really permeated every aspect of the day, ensuring their guests had an amazing time! The D.C. couple celebrated not only their relationship, but also their culture, incorporating their favorite traditions and great taste in soulful music into the reception.
