With the odds against them, viewers of Great Day Washington picked them out of hundreds of entries to tie the knot! From getting their marriage license, taking photos at their engagement session, picking out all of the little details while being filmed live on WUSA9, it’s safe to say, these two had their work cut out for them!! Once upon a time, the Silk Mill was a bustling factory with more than 200, late-19th-century female employees. Silk imported from Italy was at that time spun for sewing, but now the industrial and Victorian style of the building makes way for an elegant and unique venue for weddings and other events. The “mill” portion of the grounds are for events, while the inn contains 27 antique guestrooms, straight from the 1930s. All in all, it’s the perfect venue for a wondrous winter wedding.
