Engagement Photos are usually the first time you’ll be the model during a photography session. It can be nerve-wracking since you’re not completely comfortable being photographed, and that’s okay! Working with your photographer and following these steps will make your engagement session a breeze!
The best time to take engagement photos is usually within the first 3 months within getting engaged. This way you can get to know your photographer better and become comfortable in front of the camera. Engagement Session’s are a great way to test run how it feels to be the subject of a photo shoot. For some clients, posing will come naturally, for others it takes some getting use to. Working with your photographer during the engagement session is a great practice run for your wedding day.
This awesome engagement session was take at the scenic and historic Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC. The outstanding marble columns create a timeless effect, which create memorable and everlasting photos. We walked along the picturesque tidal basin and found ourselves surrounded by lovely lighting and breathtaking scenery. We also found some pine trees to make a nice background for this awesome couple.

On Sunday we were able to sneak in another DC engagement session or two with the amazing weather. We met Kasey and Brad in Georgetown in Washington, DC where they both currently work. Both are actually from California where they plan to tie the knot in Santa Barbara! Having visited beautiful Santa Barbara, which you can see here, we know their wedding is going to be nothing short of spectacular.
