This breathtaking photo shoot was taken at Washington DC’s National Gallery of Art. Surrounded by grand architecture, the stunning light installation connecting the East and West wings and the lovely surrounding outdoors, makes a perfect background for any picture. With the Capitol Building in the background, these pictures are absolutely picturesque

While the National Mall is a pretty popular spot for engagement shoots, there’s one time of year that it really shines for its romantic appeal: cherry blossom season. While it’s sometimes a little tricky to schedule a session around peak blooms, weather and the lovely couple’s schedule, it’s always worth the effort, every single time. The pink flowers, spring weather and magnificent white architecture all combine for a truly spectacular sight.

There are plenty of historic and iconic engagement shoot locations in Washington, D.C., particularly around the National Mall. However, the Jefferson Memorial is something special, with its elegant architecture and waterfront views combined for one picturesque setting. The only thing to remember? Getting tourist-free photos requires an early morning!
