Cunningham Falls Engagement Session || Thurmont, MD Photographer || Kelly + Arthur

We met Kelly and Arthur at Cunningham Falls in Thurmont, MD for their engagement session. To start we hiked through the trails that lead to the falls. It isn’t a very long hike but there are some hills to tackle. All along the way we stopped at various points to grab some shots of the couple and the falls, rock structures and various streams. We had such a great time on this adventure engagement session. After we finished our hike we finished up with a sunset beach session by the lake. It was the perfect location with a mix of all types of back drops. Kelly and Arthur are getting married in Punta Cana and we wish them all the best!

Dumbarton Gardens + Howard University Engagement Session // Georgetown Engagement Photographer // Leah + Will

We had such a great time with Leah and Will at Dumbarton Oaks in Georgetown for their spring engagement session over the weekend. The weather was perfect on this beautiful spring day in DC. Leah and Will are both dental students at Howard University and are getting married this July in Florida. They were an amazing couple with beautiful smiles and love for one another. They even brought their k9 friends to wrap up the shoot at Howard University.

Old Town Alexandria Engagement Photos | Alexandria, VA Photographer | Saba and Nick

We met Saba and Nick at sunrise in Old Town Alexandria at the George Mason Temple. Saba and Nick were full of great energy and were nothing but smiles all morning even though it was freezing!! We strolled thru the old cobble stone streets of Old Town and ended up at the pier by the water. It was such a great time spending the morning meeting new friends and capturing their love. Saba and Nick will be getting married back home in Los Angeles this summer.

Georgetown Engagement Photos | Washington, DC Photographer | Kasey and Brad

On Sunday we were able to sneak in another DC engagement session or two with the amazing weather. We met Kasey and Brad in Georgetown in Washington, DC where they both currently work. Both are actually from California where they plan to tie the knot in Santa Barbara! Having visited beautiful Santa Barbara, which you can see here, we know their wedding is going to be nothing short of spectacular.

Wilkes Street Tunnel Engagement Photos | Alexandria, VA Photographer | Bethany & Paul

We had such a great time with Bethany & Paul in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement session over the weekend. It was fairly cold on Sunday but it didn’t stop this couple from having a great time. We started at the water, right at the bench where Paul proposed overlooking the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. We made our way down to the Wilkes Street Tunnel which is an awesome place for photos. We can’t wait to return to Alexandria for their wedding next year at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.

The Glasgow Farm Wedding Photos | Fredericksburg, VA Photographer | Taylor and Spencer

The Glasgow Farm is an early 1900’s barn and farmhouse in Fredericksburg, VA. The farmhouse next to the barn is beautiful inside with a vintage feel. The floors still creak! Little did we know that a category 4 hurricane Joaquin rolled through for the weekend. The wedding couldn’t have gone any better. The wedding ceremony and reception were in the rustic barn under cover.

Belmont Manor & Historic Park Wedding Photos | Elkridge, MD Photographer | Sydney & Andrew

The Belmont Manor is a beautiful 1700’s manor in Elkridge, MD. As you drive up to the manor the 2 mile long driveway is lined with trees on either side. Once you get to the end of the drive it opens up to a beautiful view of the gigantic manor. What we love about this wedding venue is how many places there are to take wedding photos. The pond and garden in the back are spectacular. There is a rustic barn on the premise along with the antiquity of the manor itself.

Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery Wedding Photos | Thurmont, MD Photographer | Katie and Chaz

Springfield Manor is a beautiful old farm house that sits at the foot of the mountain. Attached to the back of the farmhouse is an exquisite ballroom. It really is the best of both worlds allowing for a modern reception with touch of vintage style. If you wanted to have an entire vintage wedding they have a barn in the back for more intimate weddings of 150 people or less. The grapes for the winery grow right in front of the distillery which creates a nice ambiance for a rustic wedding.

Brooklyn Bridge Proposal Photos | Brooklyn, NY Photographer | Steve and Rita

Wow!  The day has came and went.  Full of excitement, anxiety and joy, I proposed to Rita.  It started about 3 months ago with an all out research study of the four C’s.  I felt like I was buying a new vehicle–it was intense to say the least.  After several made up stories of where I was so late, I was able to pick out “the one”.  You really do know when you see it.  It’s kind of funny too…when you research online for rings you would be amazed at how many ads pop up in your Facebook feed or how many times Ronnie Mervis voices over your spotify.  So fellas, beware!  Next on the list was picking a location.  This was fairly easy.  I wanted somewhere aesthetically pleasing and sentimental.  Obsessed with the Brooklyn Bridge structure and Brooklyn itself, this was one of the first places that popped into my head.  The sentimental part was already there.  This is the place where all of Rita’s family grew up.  Now we’re bitchin.
