Located just a short drive outside of Manhattan, Ramsey Golf and Country Club in New Jersey is just about as pretty as a golf course can get. The historic club property has its own formal English garden and lakeside beach, and the club itself is set in a 19th-century stone castle. The castle sports an ancient Norman architecture design and mirrors England’s Ramsey Abbey. Lovely views from the interior look out onto the surrounding greenery and the elegant stone features mixed with the foliage would make you hardly believe you’re in New Jersey. 

This Maryland mountain is beautiful regardless of the season, but summer is particularly picturesque, with the lush greenery, knee-high ferns and moss-covered rocks. Not to mention, when you finally make your way through the forest, you’re treated to spectacular views of the valleys below and the mountains beyond. However, you’ll see that the surrounding areas near Sugarloaf also offer some differing backdrops, including quaint country roads and untarnished summer fields. It all comes together for some gorgeous engagement photos. 

The Woodlands at Algonkian, in its regional park setting, is a great choice for a beautiful, rustic-chic wedding in Loudoun County. There are several cabins available for the bridal party before the wedding and several choices across the property for not only the ceremony but also bridal photos. Throughout, you’ll find fitting wood and stone touches, and the reception space features a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows covered in twinkle lights.

The cute, quirky little town of Frederick, Maryland, was a perfect setting for a weeknight evening engagement shoot. We stopped by several fun venues for this session, including The Record Exchange and Hippy Chick Hummus, but the downtown’s streets themselves are just as photogenic, with all their red brick charm.

Set within the forests of Algonkian Regional Park, The Woodlands is a beautiful wedding venue. The on-site rustic-chic cabins make for a great spot for the bridal party to get ready and the wooden outdoor pergola, with its terrace and forested backdrop, is a perfect place for an outside ceremony. Moving inside, the reception space offers stylish stone accents and an abundance of windows, which, for this wedding, were draped with twinkling lights.

Set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this wine country retreat is a beautiful venue for an intimate wedding. The inn is a historic farm on nearly 50 acres, with mountain views and proximity to all the lovely attractions of Loudoun County. This rural escape was the perfect spot for a summer wedding, the rolling hills and landscaping a vivid green, nicely complementing the comfortable, rustic vibe of the interior spaces.

Top of the Town is a beautiful, award-winning wedding venue for couples looking to host their wedding in Arlington. It’s all about the views here, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing a panoramic picture that includes the Potomac, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol, Jefferson Memorial, practically the whole of Washington, D.C.! The venue’s interior space likewise stands up to high expectations, offering an elegant setting for modern, classic weddings.

The Lincoln Memorial and National Mall in the spring? It’s hard to ask for a prettier engagement shoot set. In this particular session, we caught the tail end of cherry blossom season, for an even lovelier look. Paired with the reflecting pool and just the right lighting, it all came together for a truly romantic shoot.

After a long winter this warm and golden styled shoot at the Goodstone Inn was just what we needed. Goodstone Inn is such a hidden treasure nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia’s Wine Country. From great wine to a splash in the pool you don’t need much more when at this weekend getaway spot. With the help of an amazing vendor team the inspiration behind this shoot consists of vintage decor, fine china, elite wedding gowns with a phenomenal sunset and a super cute couple.

The Sunset Room by Wolfgang Puck on the National Harbor is a beautiful event space conveniently close to downtown Washington, D.C. The panoramic windows offer views of the Potomac River and The Capital Wheel, which was all aglow for this springtime wedding. A perfectly elegant and modern atmosphere, it made a great canvas on which Kara and Peter designed the wedding of their dreams.
