Virginia Barn Wedding Venues
As a Virginia Wedding Photographer duo our favorite venues are rustic barns. There is just something about antique mason jars, the smell of burlap and hanging lights to illuminate the evening. So we curated a list of our favorite farm wedding venues in Virginia! Each venue is highly unique in its own little way. Here they are in no particular order...
1. The Glasgow Farm
Tucked away on the back roads of Fredericksburg, VA, the Glasgow Farm has a unique and original feel to it. The farm was established in early 1900 and is absolutely stunning. The venue can host up to 190 guests with room outside for up to 400 guests. The 2-story rustic barn has sliding doors that allow just the right amount of light in. This farm wedding venue is the perfect place to create a rustic style union. See what a real Wedding from this venue looks like here.
2. Big Spring Farm
Big Spring Farm is a beautiful restored barn and farmhouse dating back to 1840! Surrounded by mountains and beautiful views everywhere you look it is the picture perfect venue located in Lexington, VA. The barn itself can hold up to 150 guests. If you have more than 150 guests they can accomodate a larger guest count with a tent adjacent to the barn. To see more photos from this beautiful venue check out their gallery here.
3. Shadow Creek
You can find Shadow Creek in Loudon County's Wine Country. It sits on a large farm property and accommodates up to 300 guests. After shooting a summer wedding at this venue, which you can view here, I can attest that the bridal suite is absolutely stunning while the groom's lounge is just right for the guys. The high vaulted ceiling are made of wood and make for a great place to hang string lights for a nice rustic feel. The venue is also equipped with corn hole and fire pits! This is a great addition for guests to enjoy themselves.
4. Brandy Hill Farm
Brandy Hill Farm is very unique in the fact that it is still a working farm located in Culpeper, VA. The recently renovated barn itself can accommodate up to 200 guests and they only hold one event per day. To see what a real wedding looks like at this venue check out this gallery.
5. Wolf Trap Farm
Wolf Trap Farm is located in Gordonsville, VA, just north of Monticello. What I love about Wolf Trap is you have the option to host your ceremony aside a reflective pond or be front seat to a beautiful mountain view. The farm has several lodges for guests to stay allowing for a nice weekend getaway. Here are some wedding photos from this venue.
